Quark Expeditions is sharing new details about its 2026-27 Antarctic season, which will also be its 35th year of exploring the White Continent.
The expedition cruise line will offer 43 departures of 13 itineraries. Guests who book by May 31 can save up to 15 percent off the fare and enjoy an exclusive early booking bonus.?
During the 2026-27 season, Quark Expeditions will welcome the ship World Voyager to its fleet. The 168-passenger expedition ship features deluxe all-balcony suites, state-of-the-art presentation theater and a science center. The company will be launching a new “Science & Discovery” program on World Voyager, which will give guests the opportunity to engage directly with researchers and participate in citizen science initiatives.
The cruise line is also partnering with the Friedlaender Lab at the University of California, San Diego, which is led by Ari Friedlaender. During the 11-day “Antarctic Marine Mammals: The World of Whales and Seals” expedition, guests will have a chance to watch marine mammal experts conduct research on whale behavior, whale sounds and whale migration routes.
“Our partnership with Quark Expeditions presents an incredible opportunity to spend time with these magnificent creatures, studying and observing them in their natural habitat,” says Friedlaender. “This is essential in gathering the critical information needed to advance conservation efforts—not just for these baleen whales, but for the entire Antarctic marine ecosystem.”
Quark Expeditions will also offer camping on select departures of “Antarctic Explorer: Discovering the 7th Continent” aboard the Ocean Explorer, as well as a new helicopter adventure called “Antarctica by Helicopter: Crossing the Circle & the Peninsula."?
