Celebrity Cruises is unveiling more details about its highly anticipated European river cruises.
The ocean cruise line announced in January that it would be entering the river cruise market in 2027. And, starting today, the company began accepting priority booking early-access deposits for its inaugural river cruise season.
Now, the company is offering a sneak peek at what the experience will be like when it starts sailing on the Rhine and Danube rivers.
First up, the company shared the names of its first two river ships: Celebrity Compass and Celebrity Seeker.?

They¡¯ll combine some of the features from Celebrity¡¯s Edge Series ocean ships with a patent-pending design that ¡°offers more space to vacation while bringing guests even closer to destinations,¡± says Laura Hodges Bethge, president of Celebrity Cruises.?
¡°With about half of our guests having experienced or intending to take a river cruise, we know guests are going to love sailing Europe¡¯s Rhine and Danube rivers The Celebrity Way on our fleet of elevated, cutting-edge ships,¡± she adds.?

Celebrity Compass and Celebrity Seeker will also have innovative hulls and a lightweight design to help improve river navigation. They¡¯ll also be equipped with top-notch hybrid propulsion systems, waste management systems and advanced technologies to reduce noise and vibration.?

The ships will have open decks to provide guests with plenty of outdoor space throughout the journey. They¡¯ll also have an innovative dining venue called the Magic Edge, featuring cantilever dining pods that float above the river. On the top deck, guests will be able to enjoy a bar and grille. Each vessel will also have an infinity-edge plunge pool and transformative shade structures for year-round comfort.?

Inside, travelers will find elegant cabins with king-sized beds and spacious balconies, split into five stateroom categories: Infinite Veranda, Skylight Infinite Balcony Suites, Vista Balcony Suites, Balcony staterooms and River View staterooms.?
Each room will have a free stocked mini bar and destination-inspired amenities, as well as luxury linens, bedding, bathrobes and slippers.?

Guests who reserve a suite can enjoy a dedicated, on-demand butler through ¡°Butler Chat,¡± free exclusive dining, room service and happy hour experiences, free laundry once each sailing, and priority booking for shore excursions.?
The vessels will each have eight restaurants and bars, including fan favorites Martini Bar, Sunset Bar and Caf¨¦ Al Bacio. Guests can also enjoy free breakfast room service and flexible, all day dining access. ?
In its first season, Celebrity will offer 33 week-long sailings on the Rhine and Danube with a focus on culture, history and connection. Guests can expect to visit multiple ports per day and enjoy some overnight experiences during their sailing. Pre- and post-cruise stays in cities like Prague and Budapest will also be available to book in early 2026.?
Celebrity Cruises Captain¡¯s Club loyalty tiers extend to the line¡¯s river cruises, meaning guests have an opportunity to earn new and different rewards, recognition and elevated experiences. Members can earn eight to 18 points per night on river vacations, with more details to be shared in 2026.?
