Carnival Cruise Line is celebrating president Christine Duffy¡¯s 10-year anniversary of her leadership in what it¡¯s dubbed the ¡°Duffy Decade.¡±?
Duffy came to Carnival in 2015 after serving as CEO of Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA). Since then, her leadership has added nine new ships to the fleet, operated 13,500 cruises with 42.5 million guests, hired 15,780 new team members, helped raise $27.3 million for St. Jude Children¡¯s Research Hospital, and has been honored by the CLIA Hall of Fame and Forbes magazine.
Aside from her role as president, Duffy has also served as national chair of the U.S. Travel Association and as an advisor in the U.S. Department of Commerce¡¯s Travel & Tourism Advisory Board.?
Carnival Cruise Line hasn¡¯t stopped growing under her leadership, either: it¡¯s expected to open its newest destination, Celebration Key, this summer, and has five new ships scaled to debut through 2033.?
