This summer, Delta Air Lines will offer expanded service to Scandinavia and the Nordics, including new nonstop routes from the United States to Copenhagen and Stockholm.?
The Atlanta-based carrier is launching a new route from Minneapolis¨CSt. Paul to Copenhagen on May 22.
The nonstop route will operate three times per week. Delta also started its seasonal flights from New York JFK to Copenhagen and Stockholm, both of which resumed service on April 14.
Additionally, through its codeshare agreement with Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) that began in September 2024, Delta will offer its passengers in North America access to 35 new destinations throughout Scandinavia, with just one connection or less.
The flights, which are operated by SAS, can be booked directly on Delta¡¯s website and include six destinations in Denmark?, 14 destinations in Norway?, and 15 destinations in Sweden.?
The agreement with SAS allows Delta passengers to earn and redeem SkyMiles on the codeshare flights, too. That partnership is made possible by the fact that SAS joined the SkyTeam alliance in September 2024.
Nordic destinations are seeing a surge in interest from travelers this year, with summer vacation bookings throughout the region seeing a 263 percent year-over-year increase for the summer 2025 season, according to travel agent platform Virtuoso.
