This summer of 2024 is barely over, and American Airlines
has already debuted its routes for the summer of 2025, including new European
trips.
There are five new flights scheduled for Europe, including
the resumption of a route to Edinburgh, Scotland, for the first time in five
years.
In addition, there are routes to Athens, Greece (ATH),
Madrid (MAD), Milan (MXP) and Rome (FCO).
¡°We look forward to providing customers more ways to visit
their favorite destinations in Europe next summer,¡± said Brian Znotins,
American¡¯s Senior Vice President of Network and Schedule Planning. ¡°Resuming
service to Edinburgh and adding new routes to other popular destinations across
the continent will offer customers convenient access from American¡¯s
industry-leading domestic network to all that Europe has to offer.¡±
Tickets are on sale beginning Monday, September 9.
The Edinburgh flights will leave from Philadelphia. American
will fly to Rome from six different airports in the United States. There will
be four new daily flights to Greece from its Charlotte, North Carolina hub.
American also offers the most service of any U.S. airline to
Spain, and customers can expand their travel horizons with connections on
American¡¯s partners to destinations across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
American has one of the most extensive hub and spoke systems
of any airline.
American will offer more than 70 daily departures to more
than 20 transAtlantic destinations in summer 2025. Launched in 2024, American
will bring back flights to Copenhagen, Denmark (CPH); Naples, Italy (NAP); and
Nice, France (NCE) for the 2025 summer travel season.
And don¡¯t forget about Asia.
For travelers looking to cross the Pacific next summer,
American will offer expanded capacity on four routes to Asia. Customers will
have more access to Tokyo and beyond with larger aircraft operating on all of
American¡¯s flights from Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) and Los Angeles (LAX) to Japan.

And, with codeshare services operated by American¡¯s partners, customers
can easily access more than 30 additional destinations across Japan and East
Asia with just one stop.
