The busy summer travel period may be winding down, but the shoulder season will present new opportunities for air travelers.
Major carriers have already announced a slew of exciting routes set to launch this fall.
Here are some of the more notable flights taking off in the weeks to come.
Alaska Launches Seattle to Seoul Service
Alaska Airlines will launch new nonstop service between Seattle and Seoul Incheon on Hawaiian Airlines in the wake of its monumental merger.
Beginning September 12, travelers can board Hawaiian's widebody Airbus A330-200 aircraft to South Korea's capital city.
This comes after daily flights between Seattle and Tokyo Narita began this past May.
Alaska Combines Southern California With Sonoma Wine Country
Alaska has big plans when it comes to domestic travel this autumn as well. Starting October 26, the carrier will operate five times a week between Palm Springs and Santa Rosa, California.
Meanwhile, daily year-round service will begin that same day on three new flights from Hollywood Burbank Airport to Eugene and Redmond, Oregon in addition to Pasco, Washington.

Spirit Airlines Connects Newark to a Southern Gem
Spirit Airlines officially began service on its new route from New Jersey¡¯s Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) to Savannah, Georgia (SAV) on August 14.
Spirit plans to operate daily nonstop service on the route all year round and will connect Savannah with Fort Lauderdale, Nashville and Detroit from October 9-10.
American Airlines Makes It Easier to Reach Mexico City
Starting October 26, American Airlines will begin daily flights from Chicago to Mexico City.
This new offering will connect more travelers with one of the world's most underrated and vibrant capital cities as Mexico City boasts unparalleled cultural and culinary appeal.

Allegiant Links Huntsville With South Florida
Ultra-low-cost carrier Allegiant Air will serve Alabama's Huntsville International Airport on its route map this year. New service connecting Huntsville with South Florida's Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport will start on November 19.
Allegiant will connect Huntsville with Orlando and Florida's?Gulf Coast via St. Pete-Clearwater in early 2026.
