Leisure travel in the United States is experiencing a significant slump this year, but business travel continues unabated.
In fact, a new analysis from SAP Concur shows that the U.S. was the top destination for international business travelers worldwide during the first half of 2025.?
U.S. destinations accounted for 15.3 percent of all international business trips during that time frame. That¡¯s nearly double travel to Germany, which accounted for 7.7 percent of international business trips. The UK, in third place, accounted for 7.6 percent of business travel bookings.
Separately, the report indicates that business travel between Canada and the United States remains robust despite the fact that relations are strained by the Trump Administration¡¯s tariff policies and rhetoric about Canada.
The SAP report shows that the US accounted for nearly 80 percent of outbound business trips made by Canadians.
