Delta Air Lines and El Al
Israel are teaming up.
Delta and El Al have implemented a long-term codeshare agreement, the
airlines announced Monday.
The
agreement goes into effect on January 1.
The
partnership is expected to improve flying between the Americas and Tel Aviv,
with the airlines offering reciprocal codeshare and frequent flyer benefits,
including the ability to earn and redeem SkyMiles.
Despite
the ongoing war with Hamas in the Gaza Strip, El Al has continued to operate
and beef up flights, especially to the New York area. Delta
customers from North America can fly on El Al¡¯s nonstop services from?New
York-JFK, New York-Newark, Boston, Los Angeles, Miami and Fort
Lauderdale?to Tel Aviv.?
El Al¡¯s
code will eventually be added to Delta's connecting service to Atlanta,
Washington D.C., San Francisco, Las Vegas, Seattle, Dallas and Toronto.

Passengers
on both airlines can earn and redeem loyalty points on both carriers.
