      No Ticket Required

      1/11
With four theme parks, dozens of resort hotels, amazing recreational activities and a plethora of dining and shopping options, Walt Disney World is an endless source of fun. However, often overlooked is the adventure that can be had outside of the parks. If you're planning a trip to the area, forego the ticket one day and spend some time exploring other avenues of amusement.

      Pool Day at Your Resort

      2/11
Sure, you can have pool days anywhere, but Walt Disney World brings the experience to a whole other level. Spend the afternoon participating in Cast Member hosted games, grab a drink at the outdoor bar, speed down the water slides or soak up the sun while relaxing on a lounger.

      Resort Hop

      3/11
With more than 25 different resort hotels, each with different amenities and themes, there's always something new and exciting to experience. Park your car at Disney Springs, climb on board a bus and resort hop to all the places you want to visit. What's more, close proximity allows for a fairly easy journey.

      Enjoy an Evening Monorail Crawl

      4/11
Monorail crawls of different themes have become fairly popular over the past few years. Climb aboard the monorail-which takes you to Disney's Contemporary Resort, Disney's Polynesian Village Resort and Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa-and hop off at each resort for a drink, dessert or appetizer. Even better, the monorail runs full circle so it'll take you right back to where you boarded.

      Play Mini-Golf

      5/11
There's plenty of fun to be had while playing a round of mini-golf at Fantasia Gardens and Fairways Miniature Golf or Winter Summerland Miniature Golf. Each course has its own unique theme, along with exciting interactive elements. Since both are open until 10:00 p.m., it's the perfect place in engage in some good old-fashioned family fun after dinner.

      Dueling Piano Bar

      6/11

If you're headed to Disney's BoardWalk Inn at any point, Jellyrolls, a dueling piano bar, is an exciting and lively place to spend an evening. Entry is permitted to those 21 and up, so it's great for adults traveling sans kids. The two pianists know just about every song you could imagine. If you're lucky, they may even play your favorite.

      Experience Virtual Reality

      7/11
With virtual reality quickly becoming one of the latest trends, there's no better time to see what all the fuss is about. At Disney Springs, guests can try their hand at a VR experience called The VOID. Choose between Star Wars: Secrets of the Empire or Ralph Breaks VR and immerse yourself into the full sensory experience. Later this year, guests can expect another VOID debut based off an undisclosed Marvel movie.

      Bowling With the Family

      8/11
Splitsville at Disney Springs is the perfect place to spend the day away from the hustle and bustle of the parks. Rent a lane at the full-size bowling alley, order some delicious food-we highly recommend the loaded fries-and see who can walk away with the highest score. Even better, your food can be delivered right to your lane, so there's nothing to distract you from hitting those strikes.

      Check Out a Movie

      9/11
While you can see a movie pretty much anywhere, Walt Disney World does it a little bit different. If you want to keep it traditional, head to the AMC Theater at Disney Springs and check out their latest released films. If you're looking for the magical Disney experience, check out the courtyard at your hotel. Each night, Disney resorts play different movies on a big blowup screen. Bring a blanket or towels and enjoy a Disney classic under the stars.

      Enjoy a Spa Day

      10/11
There are quite a few spas sprinkled around the resorts at Walt Disney World. If you're in need of some major rest and relaxation, reserve a massage before heading out to dinner with the family. Guests can find spas at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort.

High Tea at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa

      11/11
You'll want to make sure you call ahead of time and make reservations for this next one. High tea at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is a wonderful retreat from the Florida heat and busy parks. Enjoy your own pot of tea with a serving of finger sandwiches and desserts, all while sitting in a beautifully decorated glass room overlooking the grounds of the resort.
