Amtrak travelers can earn 40,000 bonus points when they apply and are approved for the Amtrak Guest Rewards Preferred Mastercard.?

The new limited-time offer is going on now through July 30, 2025. Travelers will receive the 40,000 points, which is worth over $1,000 in travel with Amtrak, after making at least $2,000 in purchases within the first three billing cycles of opening their account.?

Amtrak Guest Rewards allows members to redeem free train trips and other benefits, with two points per every dollar spent on Amtrak travel. Members can also earn a 25 percent bonus for Business Class travel and a 50 percent point bonus for Acela First Class travel. Reward travel is easy to book, with routes starting at 400 points.?

The Amtrak Guest Rewards Preferred Mastercard also provides greater benefits than the loyalty program. For a $99 annual fee, travelers can earn three points per dollar spent on Amtrak travel, two points on dining and travel and one point for every dollar spent on other qualifying purchases.?

Upon opening the credit card, travelers will enjoy a round-trip companion coupon, a one-class upgrade and a station lounge pass. Card anniversaries will also give card owners a one-class upgrade and station lounge pass each year.?

Card members will also enjoy a 20 percent rebate on Amtrak food and beverage purchases, a five percent point rebate when booking reward travel and more.?
