If you’ve been dreaming of an affordable Australian getaway, now might be the time to finally book those airline tickets Down Under.?
Australian carrier?Qantas?is discounting more than 100,000 seats on flights between the United States and Oceania aboard its superjumbo Airbus A380 planes.
The “Superjumbo Sale” is the first of its kind for the airline and is in honor of the double-decker A380 jet making its return to Qantas’ route between Sydney to Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) on August 12 for the first time since the pandemic. The massive planes offer more capacity and more premium seats to passengers on the route, which comes with a connection in Auckland, New Zealand.
Travelers will find discounted fares starting at $949 round-trip in economy class from Los Angeles, San Francisco, Dallas-Fort Worth, and New York to destinations across Australia and New Zealand, including Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth, and Auckland.?
Passengers flying out of Dallas get special access to an added perk. By adding the code “SUPERJUMBO,” fliers can get an extra $380 off bookings in Premium Economy, Business, and First class out of DFW. If a premium seat is of interest, plan to book quickly: the code is only valid for the first 100 bookings. For additional space in economy class, passengers on the A380 planes will be able to reserve Qantas’ neighbor-free booking option for an additional fee.
The sale will last through August 18 for travel dates throughout the rest of 2025 and into 2026. Fares can be booked on Qantas' website.
In addition to the fare discounts and the A380’s triumphant return to DFW, Qantas also announced that it would increase flights on the Dallas-to-Sydney route, starting next summer. The carrier will operate a daily flight—up from 5x weekly service—from June 2026 through the Northern Hemisphere’s summer season.
