A new long-haul flight will take travelers from the southern United States to East Asia this fall. EVA Air is launching a new nonstop route from Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) to Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport (TPE) in Taipei.
When it launches on October 3, the new route will make EVA Air the only Asian carrier to operate two destinations within Texas. The Taiwan-based airline also operates a nonstop route between Taipei and Houston¡¯s George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH).?
EVA Air will operate three flights per week on the TPE-to-DFW route with its Boeing 777-300ER planes. Those aircraft are outfitted with EVA¡¯s Royal Laurel business class cabin, which offers passengers a lie-flat bed measuring 76 inches long.
There are also two additional separate cabins on board, including regular and premium economy, the latter of which offers roomy seats that are 19.5 inches wide and have 38 inches of pitch.
The Dallas-bound flight marks the ninth destination in North America on EVA Air¡¯s route map. In addition to its Texas gateways, the carrier also flies to Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Seattle, Toronto, and Vancouver.
EVA Air¡¯s new route is the latest in a litany of high-profile international route launches at DFW, many of which are to Asia or the South Pacific. In December 2024, Fiji Airways began flying a nonstop route from Nadi to DFW, and Japan Airlines started daily nonstop service to Tokyo¡¯s Haneda Airport (HND) with one of its new Airbus A350-1000 planes outfitted with its latest refreshed cabins.
