Founded in 1991, EVA Airways has established a network of destinations from its Taipei base, stretching to Europe, North America, Asia and Oceania, linking more than 50 cities worldwide. EVA is working to build Taipei into Asia's premier transfer point and its plans to join the Star Alliance are part of that strategy. EVA also has alliances with major carriers worldwide, including a code-share with United.

From gateways in Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Seattle, Toronto and Vancouver, EVA passengers can make one stop in Taipei and easily connect onward to most major business and leisure destinations in China and throughout Asia. The EVA Air fleet now includes 11 new Airbus A330-200s for regional and shorter-haul trips and 15 advanced Boeing 777s for long-haul flights. A new slogan, "Sharing the world, flying together," coincides with the introduction of the stunning new B777s. These streamlined, energy-efficient, next-generation aircraft now form the backbone of EVA's fleet.
