      The City of Lights

      1/13
From monument-lined boulevards and classical bistros to enchanting museums and luxury shopping, Paris is sure to entice. The capital of France is extremely popular, but for good reason. You must see the famous sights, but can come back time and again to uncover the hidden gems.

      Eiffel Tower

      2/13
Seeing the Eiffel Tower is the quintessentially Parisian experience! Completed in 1889, the landmark is over 1000 feet tall and is the most iconic monument in the city. You can relax in the nearby park, ride the elevator to the top, or simply take in the views along the water. Stroll along the river Seine for the best views and photo opportunities!

      Notre Dame

      3/13
Despite the roof being tragically burnt down in 2019, the Notre Dame is still one of the most iconic Parisian monuments. Since the fire, the beginning of the restoration has been very successful and the Viollet-like-Duc spire will be replaced. Currently, the cathedral is closed until further notice, but the views along the river are still stunning.

      Saint-Chapelle

      4/13
Just a short distance from the Norte-Dame Cathedral sits the colorful gothic wonder, the Sainte-Chapelle. This cathedral is known for its spectacular stained-glass windows and was constructed in the late 1200s. Make sure to visit in the morning in order to see the best light shine through the windows.

      The Louvre

      5/13
You can easily spend an entire day exploring the Louvre and barely scratch the surface. The Louvre is the biggest art museum in the world, and houses over 38,000 artistic objects. Known for its showing of the Mona Lisa, the Louvre has countless masterpieces that must be seen.

      Jardin du Luxembourg

      6/13
The Luxembourg Palace is the perfect place to spend a sunny day. The palace and gardens were created by the Medici family in the early 17th century and were made to replicate the Boboli Gardens in Florence. The oasis of terraces, chestnut groves and lush lawns has a special place in every Parisian heart.

      Napoleon's Tomb

      7/13
Whether or not you are a history buff, you should visit Napoleon's tomb. The impressive resting place sits inside the shining Dome Des Invalides, located behind the military museum. Napoleon's tomb is made up of two levels, with the upper floor showcasing exquisite murals and gold fixtures while the lower is characterized by looming statues and Napoleon's tomb. A ticket works for both the dome and the military museum.

      The Pantheon

      8/13
Compared to the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre and the Notre Dame Cathedral, the Pantheon seems like a lesser-known treasure of Paris. Inspired by the Pantheon in Rome, the impressive church is located in the gothic quarter of Paris. The grand interior is made up of enormous columns, marble floors, classical paintings and a triple dome.

      The Military Museum

      9/13
The national military museum is located in the heart of Paris and is a fascinating and inclusive collection of all things war-related. The tumultuous history of France is filled with rigorous battles and historical uprisings, so this is the best place for the history buff. You might even catch the soldiers marching during a visit.

      The Musee d'Orsay

      10/13
Originally built as a train station, the grand Musee d'Orsay now houses the largest collection of Impressionist and post-Impressionist masterpieces in the world. Here you can find countless pieces by artists such as Monet, Renoir and Van Gogh. The museum is one of the most popular in Paris and takes a backseat only to the Louvre.

      The Arc de Triomphe

      11/13
The Arc de Triomphe is the largest arch in the world and was originally conceived by Napoleon Bonaparte in the early 1800s. It was created to celebrate the victories of Napoleon's armies and every evening a flame is lit beneath the amazing arch. Also, the monument sits at the top of the famous shopping street, the Champs-Elysees.

      The Royal Opera House

      12/13
The opera house, constructed during the 19th century, is a place of luxury, entertainment and architecture. Be sure to tour the impressive interior or catch a late-night show. After visiting the opera house, explore the opera district for some of Paris's largest department stores.

      Place Vendome

      13/13
One of the most prestigious places in Paris, the Place Vendome was built in the late 1600s and is known as the center of French luxury. If you enjoy the finer things in life, you will love window shopping along the square. You can find jewelry, delicate materials and fine designers all throughout the area. Also, the center column is a great place to see new sports cars and elegant celebrities.
