      New Flight Routes to Be Excited About This Fall

      The busy summer travel period may be over but that doesn't mean airlines are sitting back. Plenty of the world's major carriers will launch new seasonal and year-round domestic and international routes this fall. Here are some to get excited about with Labor Day in the rearview.

      LA to Omaha - Delta Air Lines

      Delta Air Lines will launch new daily service from Los Angeles (LAX) to Omaha's Eppley Airfield on November 10, connecting "one of the most popular destinations in the world" with the Midwest. "When visitors from Omaha arrive in Los Angeles, they will find our signature weather, a welcoming spirit and a singularly 'LA' experience starting the moment they step off their plane at LAX," said Samson Mengistu, Chief Operating Officer, Los Angeles World Airports, in a statement earlier this year.

      Palm Beach, Florida - Allegiant Air

      Budget carrier Allegiant Air will introduce a handful of new nonstop routes this fall, including year-round service to and from Palm Beach, Florida that includes Pittsburgh, Charlotte and Asheville, North Carolina; Knoxville, Tennessee; Indianapolis and Cincinnati. Service will begin November 14.

      Las Vegas to LA, Miami - Frontier Airlines

      Frontier Airlines is set to launch a handful of new routes from Las Vegas' McCarran International Airport this fall, including daily nonstop service to and from Los Angeles and Miami beginning September 10.

      Denver to London - United Airlines

      Last month, United Airlines announced that it will expand service between Denver and London to year-round beginning November 1. Subject to government approval, the expanded service will operate with Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft.

      Newark to New Delhi - United Airlines

      United also announced this summer that it will resume daily nonstop service between New York/Newark and Delhi and Mumbai, India on September 6 following a lifting of airspace restrictions. Meanwhile, United's seasonal service between San Francisco and Delhi will launch December 5.

      Toronto to Delhi - Air Canada

      Decorated airline Air Canada also announced it will resume its daily nonstop Toronto-Delhi flights on October 1 and Toronto-Mumbai flights on October 27.

      Gameday Routes - American Airlines

      American Airlines is celebrating the return of college football season with a slew of special routes in support of some of this year's marquee games, including flights between Washington, D.C. and South Bend, Indiana (September 27 and 29) for Virginia versus Notre Dame and Birmingham, Alabama and College Station, Texas (October 11 and 13) for Alabama versus Texas A&M.

      NYC to Jamaica, Costa Rica - American Airlines

      Get those passports ready because American will also launch daily service from New York's JFK Airport to Montego Bay, Jamaica and San Jose, Costa Rica starting November 21. The carrier will also extend its seasonal service between JFK and Antigua on November 21.

      East Coast Expansion - Southwest Airlines

      Southwest Airlines will add daily nonstop service between Baltimore/Washington and Greenville-Spartanburg, South Carolina starting November 3. Then, on November 9, the low-cost carrier will introduce new weekly service on Saturdays between Boston and Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.

      West Coast Expansion - Southwest Airlines

      Southwest will also increase connectivity in Long Beach, California this fall, offering flights to and from Oakland, San Jose, Sacramento and Las Vegas effective October 1.

      Nonstop From Nashville - Spirit Airlines

      Spirit Airlines will launch nonstop daily service from Nashville International Airport to Baltimore/Washington, Fort Lauderdale, New Orleans, Las Vegas and Orlando beginning October 10. Those five routes will be followed by nonstop service between Nashville and Tampa on November 5.

      NYC to South America - JetBlue

      JetBlue will expand its footprint in South America this fall when it begins offering new and expanded service between New York's JFK Airport and Guayaquil, Ecuador starting December 5. The daily flights will become the longest in the JetBlue network.

      Washington State - Alaska Airlines

      Alaska Airlines announced new nonstop flights from Everett's Paine Field to Spokane, Washington this summer. Daily roundtrip Service is scheduled to begin November 4 just ahead of the busy holiday travel period.

      Barcelona to Mexico City - Emirates

      International travelers will be excited to know that award-winning airline Emirates will connect Mexico City and Barcelona via daily service starting December 9. Passengers can look forward to experiencing the two-class Emirates Boeing 777-200LR featuring 38 Business Class seats and 264 Economy Class seats.

      Botswana - Qatar Airways

      Beloved Gulf carrier Qatar Airways will make its debut in Botswana this fall via Doha, Qatar and Johannesburg, South Africa. Service is scheduled to begin on October 27. The airline will also add Langkawi, Malaysia to its route network in October, launching four-times-weekly service via Penang on October 15 and increasing to five-times weekly on October 27.

      Hawaii - Hawaiian Airlines

      Hawaiian Airlines will be busy this fall, launching new nonstop service between Fukuoka, Japan and Honolulu starting November 26 and beginning four-times-weekly service between Maui and Las Vegas on December 15.

      Sydney to San Francisco - Qantas

      Qantas will fly its Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner between Sydney and San Francisco beginning December 4, allowing passengers to experience the aircraft's next-generation Economy, Premium Economy and Business cabins.

      Singapore to Seattle - Singapore Airlines

      Singapore Airlines further expanded its nonstop service to the U.S. from Singapore this week, launching flights from Singapore to Seattle. The carrier also serves New York City, Los Angeles and San Francisco nonstop from Singapore. The airline's new Seattle flights will operate three times weekly and increase to four times weekly next month.

      Tokyo to Perth, Australia - ANA

      Japan's largest five-star airline, All Nippon Airways (ANA) begun flying direct from Tokyo to Perth, Australia on September 1. The route is noteworthy as it's the only direct flight connecting Japan and Perth.
