Just in time for affordable winter getaways, low-cost carrier Frontier Airlines is launching a significant route expansion, adding 20 new routes from some of the largest cities in the United States, including Detroit, Houston, Baltimore, Fort Lauderdale, Charlotte, and Dallas.

The new flights start taking off in November and will operate to both domestic and international destinations within Latin America and the Caribbean. The expansion is part of a larger strategy from the airline to bring cheap flights to underserved city pairings. ¡°As industry capacity adjusts, we want to ensure consumers in those markets continue to have affordable flight options,¡± said Frontier CEO Barry Biffle.

¡°Frontier is not just about delivering low fares¡ªwe¡¯ve made major enhancements, from product upgrades to the most rewarding loyalty program, and investments in technology and service, as part of The New Frontier,¡± Biffle said. ¡°We see a clear path to being the number one low-fare carrier in the top 20 U.S. metros.¡±
