The American Society of Travel Advisors (ASTA) has launched ASTA Corporate, a new initiative that aims to serve the organization's network of corporate travel agencies and travel management companies (TMCs) with tools, expertise and advocacy.
Building on ASTA¡¯s longstanding Corporate Advisory Council (CAC), which will continue to generate feedback and collaboration with corporate travel-focused agencies, ASTA Corporate will provide dedicated staff, research activities and exclusive events.
Seasoned executive Mark Meader has been named as the inaugural Executive Vice President of ASTA Corporate. "The corporate travel environment is facing unprecedented challenges," said Meader, "from the rapid adoption of emerging technologies to shifting client expectations and evolving industry dynamics."
"We invite corporate travel professionals to join us in this exciting new chapter and to be part of a community dedicated to continuous excellence, innovation, and impact."
ASTA has already announced three partnerships, including spearheading research projects with top firms, forming a strategic partnership with?Paul Tilstone's?temoji consulting and scheduling the first exclusive event under ASTA Corporate for October 9, 2025, at the Hay-Adams Hotel in Washington, D.C. on the heels of ASTA's annual Legislative Day.
"Mark¡¯s vision and expertise will ensure that ASTA Corporate delivers exceptional value to its members," ASTA President and CEO Zane Kerby said in a statement. "Over the coming months, he will have the full resources of ASTA at his disposal and will be assembling a specialized team to drive forward the goals of ASTA Corporate."
