The 2019 Travvy Awards recognized the planet's standout properties on Wednesday night, feting those that consistently wowed us during the past year. Winners, selected with the help of travel agents across North America, were chosen in a variety of categories including Best All-Inclusive Luxury Resort, Best All-Inclusive Resort Spa & Wellness, Best Boutique Hotel Chain and far, far more. On the hunt for the perfect couples getaway this year? The winners of Best All-Inclusive Adult Couples Resorts in the Caribbean/Bahamas were Sandals Montego Bay and Sanctuary Cap Cana. In Mexico, the properties taking home gold and silver awards in the Best All-Inclusive Adult/Couples Resort category were Le Blanc Spa Resort Cancun and Live Aqua Beach Resort Cancun.

Beaches Negril Resort & Spa and Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Punta Cana took home the gold and silver for Best All-Inclusive Family Resort - Caribbean/Bahamas. In Mexico, the winners in this category were Dreams Riviera Cancun Resort & Spa and Hotel Xcaret Mexico.

The competition was fierce this year in the luxury resort category. Sandals Royal Barbados took home the gold in the Best All-Inclusive Luxury Resort - Caribbean/Bahamas category, but in the silver slot, there was a three-way tie between Jewel Grande Montego Bay Resort and Spa; Luxury Bahia Principe Cayo Levantado and RIU Palace Jamaica. The winners in this category in Mexico were Zoetry Paraiso de la Bonita Riviera Maya and UNICO 20¡ã87¡ã.

Couples searching for an unforgettable destination wedding location need look no further than this list of winners. In the Best All-Inclusive Resort - Destination Weddings category Sandals Grande Antigua took home the gold while there was a two-way tie between Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya and Moon Palace Cancun for the silver.

When it comes time to plan the honeymoon, keep these names in mind: Secrets Maroma Beach Riviera Cancun and Hyatt Zilara Rose Hall, which won gold and silver respectively in the Best All-Inclusive Resort - Honeymoons category.

The popularity of wellness getaways continues to explode. Among the hotels leading in this space are El Dorado Maroma, by Karisma and UNICO 20¡ã87¡ã Hotel Riviera Maya, which took home gold and silver respectively in the Best All-Inclusive Resort - Spa & Wellness category.

UNICO 20¡ã87¡ã Hotel Riviera Maya topped the Best All-Inclusive - Overall category, taking home the gold. And in yet another two-way tie, The Grand at Moon Palace Cancun and Zoetry Paraiso de la Bonita Riviera Maya both took home silver.

Boutique hotels have a cult following. And some of the top names to know in this category were revealed Wednesday night. Winners of the Best Boutique Hotel - Mexico included Zoetry Paraiso de la Bonita Riviera Maya, which took home gold and Blue Diamond Riviera Cancun.

Winners of Best Boutique Hotel - Overall were Jade Mountain, St. Lucia in the gold category and Blue Diamond Riviera Cancun received the silver award.

Back on the love and romance front, the winners of the Best Destination Wedding Hotel/Resort - Europe category were Hard Rock Hotel Tenerife taking gold and Corinthia Palace Hotel & Spa, receiving silver.

In Hawaii, the winners in this category were Fairmont Kea Lani, Maui and 'Alohilani Resort Waikiki Beach, respectively. And finally, in Mexico, the gold for destination weddings went to Secrets Maroma Beach Riviera Cancun, while Grand Fiesta Americana Los Cabos All Inclusive Resort & Spa took home the silver.

Family travel is another category that continues to grow more popular with each passing year. Here are the names to keep in mind for your next all-in family getaway, whether you're considering Europe, Canada or the Caribbean. Winners of the Best Family Hotel/Resort - Caribbean/Bahamas were Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts Punta Cana in the gold category and Beaches Negril Resort & Spa. In Central and South America the winners were Secrets Papagayo Costa Rica and Hotel Riu Palace Costa Rica.

The Best Family Hotel/Resort winners in Europe were Barcel¨® Castillo Beach Resort Fuerteventura, Spain (which received gold) and Hard Rock Hotel Tenerife, Spain, taking home the silver. In Mexico, Dreams Riviera Cancun Resort & Spa received the gold in the Best Family Hotel/Resort category and Generations Riviera Maya by Karisma earned silver. And finally, in the U.S. and Canada, the gold and silver recipients were Hard Rock Hotel Daytona Beach and The Diplomat Beach Resort.

Highlighting still more of the world's most memorable honeymoon offerings, the Best Honeymoon Hotel/Resort - Europe winners were Hotel de Paris, Monte Carlo, Monaco, and Hotel Botanico & The Oriental Spa Garden Tenerife, Spain, taking gold and silver.

In Hawaii, the winners were Grand Wailea - A Waldorf Astoria Resort; and Fairmont Kea Lani, Maui. The El Dorado Maroma, by Karisma and Le Blanc Spa Resort Los Cabos took home gold and silver in this category for Mexico

In the Best Hotel Chain - All-Inclusive category, Hyatt Ziva & Hyatt Zilara nabbed the gold and there was a two-way tie for second place between Karisma Hotels & Resorts and the All Inclusive Collection Hard Rock Hotels.

The gold for Best Hotel Chain - Boutique was taken home by Kimpton Hotels, while TRYP by Wyndham earned silver. The Best Hotel Chain - Mid-Market winners were Hyatt Hotels & Resorts and Hilton Hotels, respectively.

The stellar Fairmont Kea Lani in Maui took home the gold for Best Individual Hotel - Overall, while Eden Roc Miami Beach Resort earned the silver.

For all the luxury travel junkies out there, here are the names you'll want to know. In the Best Luxury Hotel/Resort - Caribbean/Bahamas category, the gold winner was Sanctuary Cap Cana, while the silver went to Azul Beach Resort Negril.

Belmond Copacabana Palace, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil took home the top award for Best Luxury Hotel/Resort - Central & South America and Ponta dos Ganchos Exclusive Resort earned the silver nod. In the Best Luxury Hotel/Resort - Mexico category UNICO 20¡ã87¡ã Hotel Riviera Maya won yet another award, taking home gold, while Zoetry Paraiso de la Bonita Riviera Maya received silver.

The Four Seasons New York City earned the gold in the United States and Canada category, while Nobu Hotel Miami Beach snagged the silver.

Sanctuary Cap Cana and Moon Palace Jamaica were the two top award winners for Best Spa & Wellness Hotel/Resort - Caribbean/Bahamas, earning gold and silver respectively. In Europe, Villa Eden Hotel & Spa Merano, Italy received the top award, followed by Hard Rock Hotel Davos with silver.

The winners in Mexico were Le Blanc Spa Resort Los Cabos and Hyatt Zilara Cancun. In the United States, the legendary Canyon Ranch Tucson earned gold and Nobu Hotel Miami Beach received silver.

The Hotels & Resorts awards category also includes Best Theme Park. Universal Orlando walked away with the gold in this field and Disneyland with the silver.
