      Sought-After Attractions

      1/11
People rely on the Internet for all sorts of things, especially when it comes to planning travel. Travel website Globehunters recently analyzed monthly Google search data for more than 80 top tourist attractions around the world to determine the most popular places. The top 10 list includes theme parks, national parks, extraordinary man-made and natural wonders.

      10. Niagara Falls, New York and Ontario

      2/11
With 719,000 monthly searches on average, Niagara Falls is the 10th-most popular tourist attraction on the planet when it comes to Internet research. Interestingly, it's one of five U.S. attractions to make the top 10.

      9. Yellowstone, Wyoming

      3/11
The nation's first national park certainly hasn't lost its luster in the century-plus since it was established in 1872 with Google users searching Yellowstone over 760,000 times per month on average.

      8. Eiffel Tower, Paris

      4/11
The Eiffel Tower is one of the world's most iconic landmarks and has inspired replicas all over the globe. But the original in Paris is searched 793,000 times per month on average. The City of Lights is also among the world's most photographed places.

      7. Burj Khalifa, Dubai

      5/11
Keeping with the tower theme, Dubai's imposing Burj Khalifa is generating plenty of interest on the web these days. The world's tallest building at over 2,700 feet is searched for an average of 859,000 times per month on Google.

      6. Grand Canyon, Arizona

      6/11
The Grand Canyon came about millions of years ago but that doesn't mean travelers are any less fascinated by it. Google users search for the iconic natural wonder 884,000 times per month on average, Globehunters found.

      5. Machu Picchu, Peru

      7/11
A bucket-list destination for many, Machu Picchu is one of only five attractions Globehunters analyzed that is searched more than 1 million times per month, checking in with an average of 1,056,000 million clicks.

      4. Taj Mahal, India

      8/11
India's Taj Mahal has increased ticket prices and implemented time limits for visitors to combat its tremendous popularity so it's no surprise that it harvests 1,063,000 million Google searches in the average month.

      3. Walt Disney World, Florida

      9/11
Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida is the world's third-most searched tourist attraction with 1,144,000 million hits in the average month. The sprawling theme park is constantly expanding with new rides and attractions so it's unlikely to slip in terms of public interest.

      2. Disneyland Paris, France

      10/11
Disney's allure simply can't be denied as Disneyland Paris in France averages more than 1.2 million Google searches per month, based on Globehunters research. Like Walt Disney World, the theme park is only getting better with time.

      1. Disneyland, Anaheim, California

      11/11
Sorry Disney World and Disneyland Paris. Disneyland in Anaheim, California is by far the most sought-after attraction in the world, garnering more than 1.7 million searches per month on Google. For perspective, that's more than three times as many searches as places like Buckingham Palace, the Cathedral of Notre-Dame, the Pantheon and Mount Everest.
