      Spring Break 2019

      1/51
With the holidays in the rear view mirror and summer vacation still too far out of reach, it's time to start thinking about spring break and where you'll go to celebrate the new season and perhaps the timely rescue of your sanity. Many Americans will be searching for places to stretch their legs and take advantage of the warmer weather while others will be chasing new adventures and experiences. While not every state can offer travelers sun and fun in the spring, each is home to a unique destination that's enhanced by the season. These destinations are not only home to a plethora of exciting attractions but are also excellent representatives of their respective states.

      Alabama: Gulf Shores

Gulf Shores is the place to be in Alabama come springtime and travelers who are passionate about music will want to plan their trip for mid-May during the Hangout Music Festival taking place on this destination's flawless beaches. Spring breakers can snare some stellar seafood at Bahama Bob's Beach Side Cafe while Mikee's Seafood Restaurant will actually cook your fresh catch and serve it to you. Between Gulf Shores and nearby Orange Beach, visitors will have plenty of excellent hotels and vacation rentals to choose from, including The Lodge at Gulf State Park.

      Alaska: Anchorage

      3/51
Alaska's largest city offers a slew of exciting cultural sites and is also convenient to some of the state's most coveted wilderness, including awe-inspiring Chugach State Park.
