      Best Cruise Companies Recognized at 2019 Travvy Awards

      The 2019 Travvy Awards marked another big night for the cruise industry as more than a dozen different brands were recognized by travel agents for their outstanding ships, service and destinations. Here are the year's big winners.

      Royal Caribbean International

      Royal Caribbean International was undoubtedly the biggest winner among the cruise companies to be honored at the 2019 Travvy Awards, taking home gold in nearly a dozen categories, including Best Cruise Line Overall, Best Cruise Ship Overall (Harmony of the Seas) and Best Cruise Line for LGBTQ.

      Princess Cruises

      Princess Cruises cleaned up in New York City on Wednesday night, securing the silver Travvy for Best Cruise Line Overall in addition to gold for Best Premium Cruise Line and Best Cruise Line for Alaska.

      Norwegian Cruise Line

      Norwegian Cruise Line also came away with multiple Travvy Awards, including gold for Best Cruise Line for Hawaii and Best Contemporary Cruise Ship (Norwegian Bliss). Norwegian also earned silver for Best Cruise Entertainment.

      Holland America Line

      Holland America Line won gold Travvys for Best Cruise Line for Central and South America as well as Best Cruise Line for Special Needs, Best Premium Cruise Ship and Best Mid-Size Cruise Ship (Nieuw Amsterdam). It also won silver for Best Cruise Line for Alaska, Best Premium Cruise Line and Best Cruise Line for LGBTQ.

      AmaWaterways

      AmaWaterways was the biggest winner in the Best River Cruise Lines category, earning gold for Best River Cruise Line Overall as well as Best River Cruise Line for Africa/Egypt, Asia and Europe.

      Carnival Cruise Line

      Carnival Cruise Line was also represented among the winners Wednesday, claiming silver Travvys for Best Family Cruise Line, Best Cruise Line for Special Needs and Best Travel Agent Only Website.

      Crystal Cruises

      Crystal Cruises won gold for Best Luxury Cruise Line and was also recognized for two of its ships. Crystal Serenity took home silver for Best Cruise Ship Overall while Crystal Symphony earned silver for Best Luxury Cruise Ship.

      Viking Cruises

      Viking Cruises was celebrated for its success on both the oceans and rivers. Viking Ocean Cruises won gold for Best Cruise Line for Europe and Viking Sun locked up silver for Best Mid-Size Cruise Ship. Meanwhile, Viking River Cruises won four silver Travvys, including Best River Cruise Line Overall and Best River Cruise Ship (Viking Longship).

      Hurtigruten

      Hurtigruten locked up the silver Travvy for Best Cruise Line for Expedition/Adventure in 2019, further solidifying its reputation as a premier provider of immersive experiences.

      Regent Seven Seas Cruises

      Regent Seven Seas Cruises, which is celebrated for its all-inclusive luxury, was awarded a silver Travvy for Best Luxury Cruise Line.

      American Queen Steamboat Company

      American Queen Steamboat Company was named the Best River Cruise Line for the U.S., earning gold in the coveted category.

      Azamara Club Cruises

      Azamara Club Cruises landed a trio of Travvy Awards this year, winning gold for Best Cruise Line for Asia and Best Small Cruise Ship (Azamara Pursuit) and silver for Best Cruise Line for Europe.

      Cunard Line

      Seabourn

      Paul Gauguin Cruises

      Paul Gauguin Cruises emerged from the 2019 Travy Awards even more decorated, winning gold for Best Cruise Line for Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific and silver for Best Small Cruise Ship (m/s Paul Gauguin).

      Scenic Luxury Cruises & Tours

      Scenic Luxury Cruises & Tours finished just behind AmaWaterways for Best River Cruise Line in Asia, adding a silver Travvy to its trophy case.
