Legoland Florida Resort has revealed plans for an all-new space-themed experience that will be available in 2026 at its resorts in Florida and California.
The new attraction will feature Legoland’s first indoor roller coaster, which project managers have described as the “most technologically advanced attraction the resort has ever created.”
The new attraction at the two locations will be the biggest single in-park investment in each park’s history, according to a statement issued by Legoland, which is operated by parent company Merlin Entertainments.
The ambitious offering also marks the first new roller coaster to open inside the main Legoland Florida theme park since the resort's debut in 2011.
The project will be brought to life by Merlin Magic Making’s global team of designers and engineers, in close collaboration with the LEGO Group. Company officials say it will feature cutting-edge technology, a themed shop, and a DUPLO play zone for younger visitors.?
"This is more than just a ride! It’s a fully immersive mission that starts the minute guests enter the building," Senior Project Manager of Merlin Magic Making, Blake Boyter, said in a statement. "From lift off to landing, the result is Legoland Florida’s most ambitious attraction to date.”
Highlights of the upcoming attraction include:
- The Ultimate Indoor Coaster Experience: An all-new, indoor roller coaster that takes visitors into an interactive LEGO space adventure from the Legoland SPACEPORT 885 launchpad, named in homage to one of the original LEGO Space Scooter sets, #885
- Orbital Outpost: A themed retail shop offering souvenirs, space gear, and LEGO sets
- Queue Experience: A covered, story-driven queue area inside Legoland SPACEPORT 885
- DUPLO TOT Spot for Tiny Astronauts: Designed for visitors ages 1–4, the space provides areas to jump, crawl, and play in a shaded, soft-surfaced area featuring DUPLO bricks, vehicles, characters, and a photo op, with nearby seating for grown-ups.
Construction began on the new attraction at each park two years ago. The new space offering will be located in the northernmost corner of LEGO City.
The most recent new attraction opened by Legoland?was Dino Valley at its California location last March. That attraction features three rides, play areas, photo op spots and dino-themed
eateries.?
