Hawaiian Airlines and Disney have partnered to celebrate the upcoming live-action release of the popular movie Lilo & Stitch with new Stitch-inspired livery on the airline's Airbus A330, A321 and Boeing 717 aircraft.?
Hawaiian's Airbus A330 aircraft are already showing off the first livery design, in which Stitch poses like Pualani, the airline's original design. The second livery design will debut on the Airbus A321 aircraft next week, inspired by Stitch's artwork. The third mystery design will debut on the Boeing 717 aircraft next month.
The designs will continue to fly throughout the summer, encouraging children and adults alike to embrace 'ohana.?
In addition, passengers onboard a Hawaiian Airlines flight will find Stitch interrupting the carrier's Travel Pono inflight video, enjoy an AR Experience on the Hawaiian Islands through the airline's app and purchase co-branded merchandise on the airline's website.?
"At Hawaiian Airlines, Hawai'i is our home, and we consider our guests to be our 'ohana," said Alisa Onishi, director of brand and culture at Hawaiian Airlines. "Our hope is that all who visit our islands feel welcomed from the moment they step onboard, just as Lilo welcomed Stitch. We're also excited to have Stitch be our new Travel Pono ambassador through an AR experience and as the star of our in-flight video, where he learns valuable lessons on how to be a mindful visitor."
