Europe and the sun-drenched Mediterranean are home to many of the world's most family-friendly airports in 2025.
Menorca Airport in Spain's Balearic Islands ranks number one, according to the latest data from the United Kingdom-based stroller company iCandy.
"Despite its modest size, this Spanish airport stands out as the ultimate family-friendly airport, scoring an impressive 95 out of 100. This Mediterranean gem offers four dedicated children's play areas and three nursing rooms for parents to keep little ones entertained and well-fed before boarding their flights," says iCandy.
"The airport also has eight dining options for parents to choose from, and thanks to the lower passenger numbers that travel through the airport, it can feel less daunting compared to some of the larger European airports."
The experts at iCandy recently analyzed more than 100 international airports around the world based on key factors of family-friendliness, including the number of restaurants available and the number of children's play areas offered.
Other factors considered included the number of breastfeeding or nursing rooms, whether the airport has prams (or rolling bassinet) available to rent and if the airport has family-friendly security lines or services.
Researchers also considered the number of annual passengers who fly from the airport, which explains why larger and busier airports with more facilities and services don't necessarily rank highest.

Rounding out the top five behind Menorca Airport are Latvia's Riga International Airport (75.83 out of 100), Warsaw Chopin Airport¡ªequipped with 19 nursing rooms¡ª(74.02 out of 100) in Poland, Canada's Montreal-Trudeau International Airport (74.01 out of 100) and Oslo Airport (69.22 out of 100) in Norway.
"At iCandy, we understand that traveling with little ones can be overwhelming, especially in environments not designed with families in mind. That's why we created this index: to help parents feel more prepared when planning family trips, and to spotlight the airports going above and beyond to make travel easier," Cameron Appel, Vice CEO at iCandy, said in a statement.
One of the world's busiest airports, Turkey's Istanbul Airport¡ªhome to a whopping 118 restaurants and 11 play areas¡ªranks sixth-best for families this year, followed by Lyon¨CSaint-Exup¨¦ry Airport in France, Luton Airport in the UK, Germany's Munich Airport and Denmark's Copenhagen Airport. Each earned scores of 68 out of 100 or better.
As for the United States, Memphis International Airport in Tennessee ranks as the best for families, coming in 23rd on iCandy's list with a score of 56.7 out of 100. Palm Springs International Airport (54.38), Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (53.88) and San Diego International Airport (53.50) also made the top 30 for 2025.
