Aer Lingus will kick off inaugural flights from Dublin to Las Vegas in October.
The new route will be offered seasonally and will initially be available from October 25 until April 29, 2025. The flights between Dublin Airport (DUB) and Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) will operate three times weekly on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
Tickets went on sale Tuesday and start at €499 roundtrip.
"Aer Lingus is bringing this iconic destination to Irish customers seeking an escape to the winter sun." Lynne Embleton, Aer Lingus CEO, said in a statement. "In addition to the warm climate, Las Vegas is renowned for being one of the greatest entertainment capitals in the world, famous for its shows, concerts, sports events and natural wonders. It is a long-held ambition of ours to fly to Las Vegas. The launch of this new Aer Lingus route is a significant moment for us and our customers."
Las Vegas officials, meanwhile, said the new Aer Lingus route serves an important source market for Sin City.
¡°In 2023, our city welcomed more than 52,000 visitors from Ireland, and this direct, nonstop service from Dublin will undoubtedly be motivation for Irish travelers and visitors throughout Europe to discover everything Las Vegas has to offer,¡± Steve Hill, president and CEO of the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, said in a statement.
The flights will be served by a wide-body Airbus A330-300. Passengers will have access to newly enhanced Wi-Fi speeds and expanded onboard movies, documentaries and TV shows, which have increased by one-third, the airline said in a press release.
In separate Aer Lingus news, the airline announced an extension of its partnership with Allianz in December. As part of the ongoing partnership with the travel insurance provider, Aer Lingus offers customers residing in the dozen partnership markets
