      See The World!

      1/26
You know that resolution you made last year, and the year before that? You were going to finally see the world! Sure, you made that resolution the year before and the year before that, but last year it was going to really happen! And then, life happened instead. Stop putting off your dreams. 2019 is the year to grab your passport and finally start picking off your dream destinations.

      London

      2/26
From Big Ben, the Tower of London, Buckingham Palace and beyond, there are plenty of iconic sites to see. For my money, though, nothing can beat enjoying a soccer match at a pub with a perfectly poured pint and ending the day with a top notch performance on London's West End.

      Los Cabos

      3/26
Most Americans are more apt to head to the Caribbean side of Mexico, and while your trips there are going to be full of fun and amazing beauty, you should really give the Pacific side a try! See the famous Arch of Cabo San Lucas, spend some time on Playa del Amor and have the best Margarita of your life because Cabo tequila is a class all it's own!

      Paris

      4/26
The world's most romantic city? Probably, but there's plenty to do besides stare longingly at your loved one in old "Gay Paree." Pro Tip: Give yourself multiple days to hit the major sites. The Louvre alone can take up the better part of a week!

      Tokyo

      5/26
Start your day in Tokyo early, hitting the Tuna market at 3 a.m. to watch fish haggling is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Catch a sumo practice or event, hit up a karaoke bar and grab the best sushi of your life. Then, do it all over again on Day 2 and just try not to imagine living there for the rest of your life.

      Amsterdam

      6/26
The Anne Frank House and Van Gogh Museum are must sees, but if you end up spending most of your time simply soaking up the natural beauty and culture of the city in one of its neighborhood parks, no one would blame you.

      Valletta

      7/26
The largest city in the small country of Malta, Valletta shouldn't be overlooked as people plan their European vacations. In fact, there are many reasons it should be first on your list! Beautiful palaces, cathedrals and museums are one reason. The amazing food and wine (especially the wine) is another.

      Toronto

      8/26
Easily one of the most underrated cities in the world, visiting Toronto should be a requirement for every American. If you're getting your passport and want a mind-blowing "starter" trip, this is it. Give yourself plenty of time for the visit and total bonus tourist points if you use bike sharing and mass transit to get around!

      Dublin

      9/26
There are few places on the Earth as beautiful and green as the Irish countryside. In Dublin proper, though, you'll find a different (but arguably equal) beauty in a perfectly poured beer at the Guiness Storehouse.

      Copenhagen

      10/26
Make time to cruise the canal, tour the Trivoli Gardens and see the palaces, but make sure you also set aside moments simply to wander and exist in Copenhagen which is one of the friendliest cities around. Oh, and it's also amazing at Christmas.

      Christchurch

      11/26
Coming from the U.S., it's going to take a long time to get to New Zealand. Because of that, you better not shortchange your trip! Christchurch and the surrounding area is beautiful, and you should plan to see it by train, gondola and maybe even by reindeer-pulled sled.

      Lima

      12/26
Lima is an ancient city with art, history and culture going back generations. It's also a coastal city with great surfing and paragliding. You'll want to do both with a break to enjoy the national dish-ceviche.

      Mexico City

      13/26
If you've only been to the coastal or resort areas of Mexico, no one could fault you for that-those places are amazing! Still, make your resolution to get to the heart of Mexico! The people alone are worth the trip, but you'll quickly find that Mexico City is one of the best cities on the continent.

      Nairobi

      14/26
Safari at day, shop in the evening and then absolutely crazy nightlife-there's little reason not to love Nairobi. Don't forget to check out a Rugby match and a theatre show, though. Thanks to colonial roots mixed with amazing talent, Nairobi has some of the best of both on any continent.

      Kathmandu

      15/26
Though it may seem like a strange and far off place accessible only in movies and books, Kathmandu is actually a fantastic tourist destination that you can go see. You can even get there by river cruise!

      Zadar

      16/26
Of all the cities on this list, Zadar (on Croatia's Dalmatian Coast) is probably the one most of you would need to Google. Change that this year. There are few places on the entire planet more beautiful. It's a very old city with timeless beauty and even better people.

      Amman

      17/26
Jordan is one of the safest Middle Eastern countries, and the culture will ensure you want to extend your trip. The fantastic food, coffee and spice culture will also ensure you spend the entire trip with a smile on your face.

      Seoul

      18/26
See old Seoul at Gyeongbokgung Palace and new Seoul at N Seoul Tower, but get a real feel for the country and its people at Namdaemun Market, which has over 10,000 shops and will have everything from what you need, to what you didn't know you needed and what you didn't even know existed!

      Montego Bay

      19/26
Staying in Montego Bay, Jamaica not only allows you the opportunity to stay at any number of amazing resorts, but also has the added benefit of being a short drive to both Ocho Rios and Negril. So, there is no shortage of opportunity! Enjoy the beach, explose Dunn's River Falls and don't miss the Rose Hall Great House of the White Which Annie Palmer-don't worry, she doesn't live there any more.

      Doha

      20/26
With an abundance of luxury activities in Qatar, it might be easy to overlook the beauty of the culture. Don't. Take a walk through Souq Waqif, the standing market. Enjoy the Museum of Islamic Art, which was built on its very own island. Go to the Al Shaqab equestrian center and watch the horse training.

      Nassau

      21/26
Whether you arrive by cruise ship or airplane, there is plenty to do. Take in some of the most beautiful sand and water of your life as you learn about the conservation efforts that take place in the island. Finish the day drinking and dancing in the Caribbean's party capital!

      Johannesburg

      22/26
It's impossible to walk around JoBurg and not feel the history seeping through the city-The Apartheid Museum is a must, as is Nelson Mandela's house. There is more to this vibrant city and culture, however. The zoos and wildlife attractions are out of this world, and the city has some of the best dining and drinking on the continent.

      Delhi

      23/26
People think of Delhi, and they think of lots of other people, which can be a turn off. Thinking only of Delhi's massive population would be a mistake, though, when this amazing city has so much to do. After all of the architectural marveling, spice tasting and culture absorbing, you might realize you don't mind the crowds so much any more either.

      Prague

      24/26
Seeing the bridges and spires of Prague should be on every bucket list, period. The city seems custom-made for tourists with beautiful sites around every corner from castles to gardens and city centers. You're going to want to grab a beer (or a few) during your stay as well.

      Athens

      25/26
Picture this, you can stand in one spot in Athens and see the birthplace of just about everything that Western Culture has offered to oratory, rhetoric, drama, government and more. Then, tour a city full of amazing things to see and do (and eat and drink). Pro Tip: finish the day by grabbing a spot at the restaurant atop Mount Lycabettus that faces the sunset.

      Florence

      26/26
Please, by all means, see the rest of Italy which includes many other cities which could've made this list. Florance got the nod, however, because of the massive impact which the city has had on art, cuisine and music which are too often overlooked by the casual traveler.
