Universal Terra Luna
Resort,
sister hotel to Universal Stella Nova Resort, opened March 25, 2025, just in
time for guests to gear up for the official May 22, 2025 opening of Universal
Epic Universe — or even sooner, with previews of the new park running April
17-May 8. Like its celestial sibling Stella Nova, which opened on January 21,
2025,
Terra Luna offers prime proximity to the new theme park via a complimentary
shuttle or walking path. Starting at $147 per night, this sleek, surreal hotel
provides a luxe lunar landing that won't crash your wallet. Here's what you'll
find when you touch down at Terra Luna.
Positioned
directly across from Stella Nova and part of Universal's "Prime
Value" category alongside Universal Aventura Hotel, Terra Luna features
750 315-square-foot guest rooms. While Stella Nova reaches for the stars, Terra
Luna's aesthetic takes a grounded yet otherworldly approach — evoking the
surface of an undiscovered planet. Both buildings shimmer in the Florida sun
thanks to more than 144,000 dichroic glass tiles that reflect light in
ever-changing colors, echoing the cosmic theme that unites the two.
Terra
Luna welcomes guests into an airy, golden-hued lobby where clean, modern lines
and undulating curves evoke a planetary landing pad. The color palette here
trades Stella Nova's teals and purples for warm earth tones — greens, golds,
and neutrals — giving the space a sun-drenched serenity. Orb-like light
fixtures and abstract planetary art provide a nod to cosmic exploration, but
the overall effect is tranquil and rooted.
Cosmic Comfort with Views to Match
Each
of Terra Luna's 750 guest rooms sleeps four in two queen beds, with connecting
room options for families or groups. Like Stella Nova, the rooms feature
rounded, space station-style windows offering either views of the nearly
completed Epic Universe skyline or a look down at the pool.
The
color scheme is a calming spectrum of blues and greys, accented with pops of
purple and teal. Planetary surfaces and nebulous textures inspire wall art.

Bathrooms
offer the same split configuration as Stella Nova: a vanity and sink separated
from the main sleeping space by a glass panel and privacy curtain, with a
separate enclosed area housing a toilet and shower or shower/tub combo.
As
expected, rooms include the essentials: a mini-fridge, coffee maker,
flat-screen TV, hair dryer, iron and ironing board, and in-room Wi-Fi.
Recharging at Terra Luna: Poolside and Beyond
While
Epic Universe is the main draw, Terra Luna’s amenities give plenty of reasons
to take some time to relax at the hotel. The sprawling pool deck includes a
nearly 10,000-square-foot pool, hot tub, fire pit, and plenty of space to soak
in some sun. Indoors, if a day in the parks doesn’t wear you out enough,
there’s a fitness center. Or you could just unwind with games in the arcade and
game room.
Also,
the Universal Studios Store is stocked in the lobby with Epic Universe merch
and travel essentials.

Grounded Dining with Elevated Flavors
Dining
at Terra Luna mirrors Stella Nova's setup, with a central quick-service and
grab-and-go venue, a poolside grill and bar, a lobby bar, and late-night
in-room pizza delivery.?
Omega
Cafe and Market is the resort's central dining hub, serving breakfast, lunch,
and dinner. The grab-and-go market has pastries, yogurt, fresh sandwiches,
salads, snacks, pastries and treats. The adjacent cafe serves hearty comfort
foods like burgers, pizza, hot sandwiches, and salads.?
Like
its sister hotel's Cosmos Cafe, Omega Cafe doesn't feel like your average theme
park value hotel dining spot. Meals are artfully plated and served with real
silverware, with a welcome amount of variety.
One
menu standout is the Raw & Shaved Cauliflower Cluster — easily one of the
freshest, most satisfying salads I've had in a while. Tossed with Brussels
sprouts, dates, a cashew crunch, and white balsamic vinaigrette, it's a
craveable counterbalance to a day of indulgent park eats.
The
Big French Dipper was another winner in our group — stacked with shaved ribeye,
provolone, and caramelized onions on a crisp baguette, served with au jus for
dipping. Rich, savory, and satisfying for bigger appetites.
Pizzas
are a reliable staple here too. The Hot Honey Chicken Pizza, topped with
grilled corn, caramelized onions, garlic cream, and a hot honey drizzle, is a
favorite among meat-eaters, while the Margherita Pizza keeps it simple with
fresh tomatoes, mozzarella, and basil.
A
returning favorite from across the street at Stella Nova, the Mexican Street
Corn is once again a standout and comes in a huge, shareable portion.

In
the lobby, Luna Bar serves up creative cocktails and classics, offering a
laid-back gathering place with plenty of comfortable lounge seating. Saturn’s
Onion Rings with blue cheese dipping sauce from Omega Cafe was a popular
pairing alongside Luna’s signature cocktails, like the Hyperion, with bourbon,
chipotle pineapple syrup, and citrus, and the Luna, a twist on the espresso
martini with spearmint mist and a dusting of bittersweet chocolate.
Outside,
the Moonrise Bar and Moonrise Grill keep things casual with poolside eats like
burgers, wraps, and salads. You’ll also find a few differences in the drink
menu from inside, including frozen cocktails and rum-forward selections. For
families, the kids’ menu here offers more kid-friendly fare that differs from
the main cafe menu.?
If
you’re dining poolside, you can order from your lounge chair by scanning a QR
code — no need to get up until it’s ready for pick-up at the nearby outdoor
window.
And
if you’re winding down after a long day in the parks, the room service menu has
you covered from 5 p.m. to midnight with pizzas.
Universal Hotel Guest Perks
Just
like Stella Nova, staying at Terra Luna comes with the full suite of Universal
Orlando Resort hotel benefits — including Early Park Admission (up to one hour
before regular opening)to Universal Volcano Bay Water Park and select
attractions at either Universal Studios Florida or Universal Islands of
Adventure, and Epic Universe when open (valid theme park admission required; check the schedule here), complimentary shuttle
service to Universal’s theme parks and CityWalk, resort-wide charging
privileges, free merchandise delivery, and more.?
With
Terra Luna and Stella Nova now open, the gateway to Epic Universe is almost
fully operational (access to the Epic Universe walking path from Terra Luna has
yet to open) — and surprisingly affordable for guests looking to stay close to
the action without sacrificing comfort or style.
