HX (formerly Hurtigruten Expeditions) is launching a new portal and online training program to support travel advisors.
As part of its recent rebrand, the expedition cruise company is offering a new, streamlined space where travel advisors can access updated brochures, one-pagers, webinars and marketing materials. The portal (agentportal.travelhx.com) reflects the brand¡¯s new visual identity and includes content that is exclusively focused on HX.
Next month, the company also plans to upload new marketing materials and assets, such as destination packs and selling guides.
¡°We¡¯re focused on equipping our valued agents and advisors with the support they need to thrive in this growing sector and promote HX,¡± says Sheralyn Berry, HX¡¯s general manager of the Americas.
HX has also launched a new, one-hour online training program that consists of four modules: Introduction to HX; Destinations; Sustainability, Science & Education; and Life Onboard. With shorter content and interactive quizzes, the interactive training aims to help travel advisors become more familiar with HX¡¯s expedition cruises to enhance their sales.
Advisors who complete the training will receive an OTT certificate and an accreditation logo. Anyone who finishes the training by August 31 will be entered into a drawing to win a $150 gift.
Beyond that, HX also has an array of other trade incentives and offerings. Earlier this year, the company launched HXplore, a monthly webinar series led by product managers that offers travel advisors a deep dive into the HX brand. By November, the ongoing series will have 11 recorded episodes on the portal, covering a variety of destinations and topics. Past webinars have focused on Antarctica, the Galapagos and the unique benefits of expedition cruises more broadly.
This spring, HX also rolled out a new B2B help desk line (1-866-312-6791) that¡¯s accessible from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. PST Monday through Friday. Travel advisors who call the line can receive personalized support and offline assistance.
HX is also offering an increased commission of 25 percent on all Galapagos bookings made by December 31, 2024, for sailings scheduled through December 31, 2025.
And, next month, HX will host its largest FAM trip ever aboard its newest vessel, MS Fridtjof Nansen. More than 300 travel advisors will spend two days aboard the ship as it sails from Vancouver to Seattle, attending lectures and trainings and getting first-hand product experience. They¡¯ll also have a chance to meet Gebhard Rainer, the brand¡¯s new CEO.
