The Strategic Art of Pre-Planning Luxury Vacations: A Perspective for Travel Advisors
Belvin Baldwin II
There's no better feeling than landing an awesome flight deal but where you live may factor into whether you score a cheap flight. The travel experts at Going recently dove into the data to determine the best airlines for scoring cheap flights in every state across the U.S.Across all 50 states, Going most frequently found great deals on the largest airlines, either American Airlines, Delta Air Lines or United Airlines. It's worth pointing out that the deal was bookable on that airline and not always operated by that carrier since sometimes the flight is operated by a codeshare partner. After the Big Three, it's actually a Canadian carrier that ranks fourth for the most flight deals from the U.S. "Despite not being U.S.-based, Air Canada had the fourth highest number of cheap flights for U.S. travelers, followed by U.S.-based JetBlue, Alaska Airlines and Southwest."Travelers living in areas with more airlines operating and thus more flights available will be more likely to find significant savings on airfare. Regardless of where you are, though, Going experts recommend casting a wide net to increase your odds for a deal."One of the worst things you can do when looking for cheap flights is to only search for flights on one airline. The airline that dominates your region or the airline that¡¯s your typical go-to may not offer the best deals for your particular trip, and you could miss an incredible deal on a perfectly safe, reputable, comfortable airline you didn't think to check."
