      Ecuador Travel Guide

From Quito to the Galapagos islands to the Amazon rainforest, Ecuador is overflowing with iconic places to visit. It¡¯s a country filled with picturesque towns, a bright culture, and an atmosphere you won¡¯t find anywhere else in the world.?

If you¡¯re planning a visit, use our Ecuador travel guide to get a hang of the place. Learn about the country's statistics, what to expect from the weather, how to get around, where to visit, and more!

The fastest way to travel around Ecuador is by plane. Domestic flights are relatively cheap and there are routes between most major tourist attractions. If you¡¯re short on time, we¡¯d recommend flying.?

But if you want to visit certain areas on the Amazon, you¡¯ll have to take a boat. Again, there are many affordable and safe options for tourists. We also found boating to or around the Galapagos islands to be super fun.?

If you¡¯re looking for a budget option, buses are your best bet. There are many long-distance options, but make sure to compare them to other travel options. Sometimes flying works out cheaper.?

Finally, you can rent a car. We found this method to be easy for certain areas, like more developed tourist areas. But it¡¯s not a viable option for long-distance traveling or rural routes. The roads aren¡¯t built to handle traffic and it can be dangerous.?
