Virgin Voyages has announced its Summer 2027 program for the Scarlet Lady, featuring an enhanced lineup of Mediterranean and Greek Isles cruises. The expanded itineraries range from seven to eleven nights and depart primarily from Athens (Piraeus), marking a significant expansion of the cruise line's presence in the region.
The 2027 schedule introduces Sarand?, Albania as a new port of call, joining established destinations including Istanbul, Mykonos, Dubrovnik and Barcelona. This strategic addition reflects the line's commitment to offering both iconic Mediterranean ports and emerging coastal destinations that appeal to adventurous travelers.
Key itineraries include "Barcelona to Amalfi, Sicily & Greece," which spans major Western and Eastern Mediterranean hubs, and "Greek Isle Days & Istanbul Nights," combining classic Greek islands with extended time in Turkey's cultural capital. The "Croatia, Montenegro, Greece & Albania" sailing emphasizes Adriatic and Ionian destinations, while "Med Coastal Medley: Athens to Barcelona" connects the region's eastern and western highlights.
Virgin Voyages continues to differentiate itself through extended port experiences, incorporating overnights and late-night stays in select destinations. This approach allows passengers more time to explore local culture, cuisine and attractions through the line's "Shore Things" excursion program, which offers curated experiences aligned with each destination's unique character.
Early booking incentives play a central role in the 2027 program. Guests booking 365 or more days in advance who pay in full receive an additional 10% discount, providing both savings opportunities and preferred stateroom selection. The cruise line is also promoting its "Circles & Groups" program for parties of eight or more travelers, offering dedicated planning assistance, priority dining and celebratory packages including the "Splash for Your Bash" option with complimentary group dining experiences.
The Summer 2027 Mediterranean program positions Virgin Voyages to capture growing demand for longer, more immersive cruise experiences while expanding into less-visited destinations that offer authentic cultural encounters.
