JetBlue officials announced the launch of the airline's redesigned website as part of the brand's ongoing digital transformation.

The official website redesign comes on the heels of improvements made to JetBlue's award-winning mobile app. The carrier is looking to improve the customer experience for passengers booking flights on computers or on their mobile devices.

The improved JetBlue website features a fresh look, homepage global navigation and optimized performance built for the screen size of a user's device, whether it's a computer, mobile phone or tablet.

On the tech side, developers integrated cloud services to enable a faster and more reliable experience, allowing customers to discover the full range of benefits available when booking or managing flights with improved self-service tools.

"We are thrilled to offer this fresh new site to our customers, curating a simple and personalized travel experience from the moment they start planning their trip until they arrive home," JetBlue director Maryssa Miller said in a statement. "While we know customers will see immediate benefits in the new design, we're truly excited by the platform we have established. The future of travel is evolving and we're well positioned to adapt and grow, bringing greater benefits to our customers when they visit jetblue.com."

Throughout the summer, officials announced new features and functionality will be added, including the ability to purchase tickets with Apple Pay, streamline check-in, web chat for customer service and more options for TrueBlue members to earn, share and spend TrueBlue points.

To ensure a quality experience, digital design agency Big Spaceship helped create a new look and feel for its digital products, including a new color palette, typography, illustrations, iconography, design patterns and an improved navigation interface.

All of the technical changes are part of JetBlue's three-year program to reinvent and redesign the booking experience. The digital enhancements will also be seen in airports with improved information displays.
