Cruise lines have been busy in recent days announcing their long-awaited return to sailing from U.S. ports in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. With CDC-approved test sailings and some revenue cruises having already been given the green light, here's a look at what some of the major cruise lines have scheduled ahead of the summer season.

      Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line

      2/8
Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line was recently approved to conduct a simulated sailing aboard the Grand Classica from Palm Beach, Florida to Grand Bahama Island on June 25-27. If successful, the cruise line said it expects to receive the go-ahead to restart regular cruising on July 2.

      Carnival Cruise Line

Carnival Cruise Line currently plans to resume operations from Galveston, Texas in July, but all passengers will need to be fully vaccinated. Carnival Vista is scheduled to resume service from Galveston on July 3, with Carnival Breeze making its return on July 15. Carnival is also targeting a July restart out of Miami aboard Carnival Horizon. "Carnival continues to work with both the State of Florida and the CDC for Carnival Horizon sailings and plans to provide an update by Friday concerning protocols specific to these sailings to all booked guests," the cruise line stated on Monday. Carnival will issue updates on its plans for August sailings over the coming days.

      Disney Cruise Line

      4/8
While Disney Cruise Line has been approved to sail a simulation cruise aboard Disney Dream on June 29, all of the line's U.S. departures are currently suspended.
